As business owners, we've ALL been there at some point. We get overworked and overwhelmed by everything we need to do, and there is no way for us to keep everything neatly organized. It's no secret that having an organized business account can make all the difference, but where do you even start?

Here are 7 tips to get you started!
1. Use a Project Management Software (or multiple!)
Project management tools are definitely worth exploring if you're looking for a game-changing solution. Platforms like Trello, Asana, and Monday.com can help you manage and organize tasks, meet deadlines, and track project progress. Even though these tools are designed for teams, solo entrepreneurs can also benefit from increased productivity and efficiency.
2. Create Solid Processes & Systems
By creating a step-by-step system or process, you'll be able to execute each task quickly without having to think about it, saving you TONS of time because you won't have to come up with the steps each time you need to do the task. For example, you can put together a system for onboarding new clients or handling customer complaints. You'll also reduce the chances of errors since you'll be following instructions already set up!
3. Plan Your Social Content in Advance
I know, you hear this ALL the time, but you should really do it! Social media can be a great way to promote your business, but it can be time-consuming. Planning your campaigns in advance and using a social media scheduling tool like Hootsuite, Later or Buffer can help you stay on track and avoid last-minute scrambling.
4. Go Paperless (if you haven't already!)
If you're drowning in a sea of paper receipts, invoices, and contracts, it's time to switch to digital. Not only will it save you space, but it'll make your life WAY easier in the long run. Keep your files organized and accessible from anywhere with cloud storage services like Dropbox and Google Drive.
5. Organize Your Passwords
Keeping track of passwords can be a hassle, especially if you use different ones for different accounts (we know the struggle here!). A password manager like LastPass or 1Password can help you keep all your passwords in one secure place.
6. Plan Ahead for Your Taxes
If you own a business, you may have to pay quarterly taxes. Set aside money for taxes so you won't be surprised at the end of the year with a large bill. You can manage your finances with tools like QuickBooks or Xero, or even Wave (it's free!), which will help you record all your expenses accurately to file your taxes.
7. Hire a VA (you had to know this was coming!)
Consider hiring a virtual assistant if you're overwhelmed with administrative tasks. A virtual assistant can help you with tasks like managing invoices, following up on orders, and responding to customer emails, freeing up your time to focus on other aspects of your business.
Now that you have these helpful tips for staying organized in your business, it's time to take action! Pick one or two that resonate with you and start implementing them into your daily routine. Remember, it's all about finding what works best for you and your business. So don't be afraid to experiment and make adjustments along the way!
